“Proficient Health was founded just over 10 years ago with a mission to improve care delivery. Still today, that is our goal. 2019 was our most successful year to date for both the company and our customers. It was a win-win. We’ve been deliberate in selecting a passionate team who will take our customers to the next level with the most advanced solutions we’ve ever offered. 2020 is looking bright!”  Robb Hutchison, CEO

Let us elaborate a little further on 2019 and how one of the busiest and most dynamic years with milestone achievements and accomplishments played out…

In January, we announced our partnership with Triad HealthCare Network, a leading physician-led accountable care organization (ACO), to build and launch a referral management solution, PH Exchange. Since go-live in April, there are nearly 200 practices onboard, almost 1,000 users and approximately 2,000 referrals sent each week through PH Exchange with numbers continuing to grow each day.

One of our biggest milestones was the merger of MD Interconnect (MDI) into Proficient Health in July. Leaders of Proficient Health and MD Interconnect had a vision of the two companies as one, and the value we’d bring to our customers. Our suite of solutions expanded to include PH Connect (formerly RapidConnect) which allows clinicians to reach the right provider, right away for urgent communication. MDI co-founders, Karen Hohenstein and Dr. David Hoover joined the Proficient Health team along with all MD Interconnect employees, bringing with them valuable clinical and technical experience.

In addition to building PH Exchange and incorporating PH Connect, our development team stayed dedicated to our flagship solution, PH Capture. One of the biggest updates to PH Capture was in late 2019 when development began on a mobile healthcare application that allows users to electronically capture documents via a mobile scanner while out in the field. Customers asked and we’re delivering.

Other areas of focus for our suite of solutions included: improved performance, security and scale, redesigned user interfaces and improved interoperability. With each product and feature release, we are able to better serve our customers and provide the most innovative solutions to help improve care delivery to patients.

A few notable accomplishments include a brand new website launch, expanded partnerships, and current account growth. Our team doubled in size and we added new members to our Board of Directors. We now bring over 100 years of combined healthcare and technology experience and more than 60 years of clinical experience to our customers.

While 2019 will be a hard year to top – Proficient Health has big plans for 2020! Each intentional step our team took last year will set our customers up for further success this year. We look forward to taking on the next year with you!
